Western Heights Specialist Sports Programs
FAQ
We currently have four specialist sports programs: AFL, Basketball, Netball and Football (Soccer). We do not plan to introduce any new sports programs in the foreseeable future.
There is a competitive selection process for enrolment into one of the four Specialist Sports Programs at Western Heights College.
Demand for WHC places is exceptionally high, and student-athletes are selected on the basis not only of existing talent but also their potential for development in high-performance sport as well as the suitability for the balance between sport and academic performance, effort and behaviour.
WHC does not provide a bus transfer service for any students in the Specialist Sports Program.
Enrolments for 2023 in all four specialist sports programs are closed.
We welcome 2024 Yr 7 students to our Information evening on March 1st. Talent ID sessions for this class will be:
1st round: Week beginning March 13th
2nd round: Week beginning March 27th
More information regarding dates/venues will be provided at the start of the school year. We will not be conducting any school tours until after our Information evening.
